What did you try to do?
Change from inters to SS on starting grid

What happened instead?
It didnt let me change the tyres. Some people who probably had the advanced strategy were able to change to SS.

Did the problem happen while using wi-fi, mobile data, or both?
Both

Did the bug happen in the app, on PC, or both?
PC

What operating system is your PC?
.

Which browser did you experience the problem in?
.

Can the bug be reproduced?
yes

Additional comments:
I never use the advanced settings because I thought it's only for when you can't watch the race. Why doesn't the game say that it gives you this MASSIVE advantage? Another race FUCKED and not by my mistake

Hello,

Since this isn’t a bug I move to the Help & Support subforum.

So if that's not a bug then it's programmed so badly on purpose? Lmao

Hello,

You need to activate advanced options to get it! It’s not called offline options. You yourself said! “I never use the advanced settings because I thought it's only for when you can't watch the race.”

I understand your frustration, but it’s perfectly programmed, the system works as expected. Don’t get mad with us! 😊

@THE LEOPARD: I delete your comments since it’s offtopic. I would like to hear your concerns and feedback, so please create another topic if you want to get an answer! Thank you.

Hello,

The option is there and it’s written in multiple game guides on the forum. Sometimes we need to learn from our mistakes to become stronger. I’m sure now you know you won’t make the same mistake again.

Why should we have to rely on the forums to tell us how to successfully use a game feature? Isn't that bad design!!??
How about adding the help "i" bubble next to Advanced Strategy to tell us how it works then?

I too, like Michal, thought it was only a feature if you were not able to attend the race live - and it would at least gave you a chance during the race.

It is badly programmed. Why is there a option to switch on starting grid from dry tyres to wets when it starts raining and no option to switch to dry tyres when it stops raining?? That's bullshit. Let me change to dry tyres when its 0,2 mm on the track and not raining. Perfectly programmed my A*s

See? Nothing about this game is perfectly programmed. It doesn't let you swear? No problem, just capitalize first letter. F*cking joke

This, I forgot to mention previously.

Why would the feature only need to be "active" under 1 of two changing conditions[dry to wet & wet to dry] - that's what has "tricked" me - I'll be honest there, and hence why I rarely use Advance Strategy.

Clearer instructions on how it works should be listed/provided, either on the rules section or as a pop-up bubble next to it

As if there where, contrary to the other thing mentioned in your post, working profanity filters existing anywhere in the first place. Their purpose is more the, often in vain, hope that people might think twice before dragging innocent animals into an argument, but then, it's a German ace now so could fared worse.

Yes, the switch wet to dry compound is possible, but to enable it you have to choose and tell the game which compound would be your dry starting tyre by setting it up for the first stint. Which does mean your rain plans are set in advanced strategy only.

If you can change tyres in advanced strategy you should be able to change them without advanced strategy too when you are online

Michal.

You can change your tyres to dry ones on the grid, the compound you are permitted to change to is not a free choice, it is the one you set for your first stint (main strategy).

What tyres did you select for stint 1? If it's either of the wet compounds then dry tyres aren't available. Now you know you won't make the same mistake again.

Like Paolo says, AS isn't the most intuitive system and there is no in-game help, but there are a complex set of scenarios it's trying to accommodate and it is impossible for users to set it to deal with every one of these.

If you know you're going to be on line consider AS to be a tool that gives you the best chance of QUALIFYING on the correct tyre, especially if the weather changes after lock down. Then if you qualified on the wrong tyre or the track is rapidly drying/getting wetter you have the opportunity to change to a more appropriate compound.

It's not perfect, but it's the best we've got. Coming on here, swearing and blaming the game for your lack of understanding isn't going to achieve anything. But the knowledge and experience you've gained because it all went wrong for you this time will stay with you forever 😁

We knew that

But since it was 0.1mm the inly available tyres to change to were i and w

Great that you already knew that, with all this knowledge you can have another frustrating race the next time the weather is changeable.

Did you even read what I wrote? As I attempted to to explain in my post, IMO the fact that there was 0.1mm water on the track had nothing to do with the unavailability of a dry compound, it was the tyres you chose for stint 1 in the main strategy. If you already knew this why did you do it?

Hi Kevin I’m the host of their league. No Leo didn’t read what you wrote hence why you are wasting your time elaborating any further on the matter, I think you have said plenty to explain how to handle any future occurrences of this scenario, it’s up to the individuals to READ in full to learn how to cope next time. P.s sense is not common.
