Greetings!  I just signed up a couple of days ago.  I have browsed around the site and I tried to do the right thing by searching for my pending questions through the forums, but I still have a few questions.  I would greatly appreciate any advice:
1.  LEAGUE START TIMES.  When I see a start time for a league, I just want to confirm that the time listed is based on MY time zone?  I remember that the game asked for my time zone when I signed up and from watching a few races, it seems to work that way.. I just want to be sure of this before I sign up for a league and realize I have made a horrible error...
2.  DEFAULT RACE INSTRUCTIONS.  My work requires me to be subject to call.  I "think" I understand that my team will still race (if I couldn't make the start time) but the default instructions/setup are less than ideal?  I want to be in attendance every race but if my work interferred I am trying to understand just how much input I could have on my race strategy if i was absent.

Thanks for any advice on these two questions (or any other advice anyone would like to throw the way of a very interested rookie...  I am very much looking forward to finding a fun league that works with my schedule and enjoying some competitive racing.

Thanks!

Hey Roger! Welcome to igp!

1. From my xp, the times listed are the times that the races are raced. For example, the league that my friend is running Formula Harrison, runs every Monday, Friday, and Saturday at about 1:20 pm mst or 3:20 est depending on your time zone. Btw if you are interested, we would be happy to have you! We usually have streams for every race on twitch.tv/jaywhywhy_ as well

2. If you can't make it to the race, just make sure you have a setup done in the next race space and put enough fuel for how many laps you want the car to go. As for push level, you can only set one for the entire race atm, so Ireccomend going no more than push 2 or 3 depending on which tire you choose.

i hope this helps, and of you are interested in joining formula Harrison here's the link :)

1. Yes, the times are listed as your time zone.

2. Yes the team will still race when you are not there but it will be a compromise. Normaly you can choose between five levels a driver will push. The default setting is in the setup and that's what your drivers will use when you're not there. In short it's usualy the 2nd of 5 levels to be on the safe side. Other than that you can set how many fuel your cars will take and with that how many stops will be made.

Roger, the best advice I can give you is to look at the best players & copy the things they do

Many thanks for the replies.  The information really helps. Jay, I reviewed your league.  The time frame doesn't work with my work schedule...otherwise I would have accepted your offer...and thanks for the invite.

Tjerk, thanks for clarifying some of the points that were unclear for me.  I have a better understanding now as I choose a league.
