Why is it I can qualify P1 all day long, but within a lap, I find myself dilly dallying around back in the 15th position? If I'm that bad, why qualify P1? It doesn't make sense because I probably have the best equipment in this league, one of the best drivers, and I can set my car up to the point to where my driver says "Feels Good" on just about everything.
So I don't understand any of this.

Qualifying is a lottery, so don't necessarily base your team performance on that. Lots of this depends on your strategy in-race (do you do heavy fuel stints versus the other racers? Do you fry your tires or take care of them?) and your drivers' health % and physical attributes.

I use low fuel, compared to some, and I tell my driver to stay consistant. My driver's health can be at max, it just never seems to matter.
As a matter of fact, one person in my league has told me he actually overfills his car, and he was able to win the championship like that.

Mark, I personally always have my drivers on full push hard until their tyres have heated up. That was it is a damage limitation untill you can get your optumum tyre temperature.
Hope this helps!

Mark, dont think of the push level of a risk button that he might make a mistake or crash, push 5 is always faster untill the tires have heated up, perfect temp is around brown. As soon as you hit brown hit push 1. 90%of the time you want to stay in push 1 for the entire stint, unless you are battling with someone or you're on the inlap. But sometimes its not even worth upping the push level to get past someone. On some tracks you can change between push 1 and 2 and on those tracks to want to push 1 on the straights and push 2 in the corners. This is only for the soft tires though. Hard tires it takes alot more to heat up but you can be on push 2-4 entire stint after you got them up to temp.
Small tips,
KERS on straights heats up tires
low fuel heats up tyres faster
high fuel takes longer to heat up tires
on the setups screen, a driver always wants a gear ratio that ends with 0 or 5.
for example, mine wants 70 gear ratio everytime, my other driver wants 55.
