I would make a suggestion to have that purple tyres on a track like Monaco, Singapore and other track with less tyres wear.

Would you guys agree?

I think the 4 dry compounds is enough, and even as things are the soft tyre is the best tyre most of the time, and the hard tyre is obsolete. I've done over 600 races on my profiles and I've never used them. Maybe a tyre model rework could bring the hard tyre into the game, without the need to add another tyre type.

This for sure, it used to be mediums and hards being the best tire awhile back, but we should be able to use all 4 tires usefully at least once throughout the season

We can use hards tho, it just requires a track in the middle east and it to be hot AF, but no ones gonna risk it cause meds might be better

I agree that hards are obsolete, for me Softs are just OP everywhere. US tires would be cool, and a tire remodel would be awesome

I'm sure it's really difficult to get the balance right for the developers, they're infinitely smarter than me. But maybe making tyres more temperature sensitive would help, along with a bigger loss of pace for overheating them.

Softs work 95 percent of the time, regardless of track or temperature. Monaco when it's cold is the only real exception. Reducing the range they work in would really open things up

Nah hard tires are unironically OP at austria, and can definitely be used at Hungary and Turkey if you use them right. Plus, many leagues have tire rules to mandate use of the meds and hards, my old league had a reverse grid rule where the top 6 drivers had to start on hards every 3 third, and we found that the hards aren't really as bad as everyone thinks

For the league I was in previously, Global Cup Series, the reverse grid guys who started on hards for those races won almost every time. Long as you stay in the drs train the pace difference really doesn't matter, and especially with Austria you can go like 20 laps first stint and overcut people starting on softs and supers by a good few laps.

They are useful Richard, my 9pm league has run the same top 6 hard tyre rule as Boris mentioned for a season and a bit now, and I can confirm starting on hards has not really stopped the top 6 from having good races or landing a podium. We’ve actually tweaked it for our 2nd season so the top 6 start on hards then pit straight after the first lap, even then the top 6 have managed to have good races and in a very competitive league.
