What did you try to do?
Within 1 second of the car infront

What happened instead?
No drs deployed even been 0.8 behind the car infront on lap 20

Pc and Samsung galaxy s20 ultra

Chrome, Edge, Firefox and the app

Can the bug be reproduced?
Drs not deployed all the time. The car behind got drs from further back

I shared this with the Support team and other Mods and they point out that at Valencia the sector 1 split time is before Turn 10 and the DRS detection point is some way after the corner. It's possible for a car to be within the 1 second DRS trigger at the sector 1 timing point but just over a second behind by the DRS detection point and therefore doesn't get DRS.

This happened at the European gp and cars was constantly within maximum 0.8 behind and not getting drs. The smallest gap was 0.3 still with no DRS.

Hello Chris,

There’re two possible reasons for this:



  1. Out of sync, your network suffered a lag spike so client and server were out of sync. This could show erratic info on the timing panel, visually on the distance between cars and even jumps.

  2. Not always sector and DRS detection zone are the same. In this case it isn’t. It’s easy for a car to escape from DRS if they set PL5 or boost.



Unfortunately since this is the only report we aren’t able to open an investigation, the staff is focusing on the Q1 Update. If we receive another report we’ll carefully look at this. Thank you! ?
