Do you still get an advantage by changing league midseason for the following season as I have been monitoring this in all of the tiers in my league and it seems there is still an advantage, I thought you were handicapped by doing this?

There is a long standing bug which gives teams who join mid-season an advantage at the beginning of next season. They are handicapped in the season they join with a low design but usually have a total of 16dp more than they should when the cars reset at the end of the season.
These extra 16dp are distributed as 3dp in CD strength, 1dp in CD weakness and 2dp in the remaining six design attributes.
When this happens in the league I host I ask the affected teams to reset by joining another league then re-joining.
