Hall of fame: past and present?!

How come there's a few in the top10 who haven't played this game for ages?! Can they not be removed?
As a new manager I'm ranked 19,000, but obviously there are less than a 1000 active managers. Having read some of the technical issues/ bugs threads it seems 'little' things may not be that simple to change. But would be great for newcomers to see themselves higher up the rankings and not feel like guys who achieved well last year are still above them!

I agree totally with Jose, the motivation for newcomers would be much more if they have any chance to get higher in the rankings. In our League we have a big Problem with Relegation in Rookie and Pro Tier because of too insufficient Managers.

The Motive to play such an onlinegame like this is to competitive with others and if there are so many inactive Managers with such (old) high and "out of reach" Reputation, pretty much of the Players may loosing the drive and getting unmotivated to climb up the Ranking.

@Jack, maybe there is a way to "deactivate" inactive Managers in the Ranking and "reactivate" them if they participate again to this game?

Glad you agree. Most online games I've played have a set period of inactivity, by which your account is frozen or deleted if you aren't active within it. I'd prefer to ranked 850 and know I might reach top 500 soon, rather than ranked 19,000 and hope to reach 16,000 soon!

Host auto-kick functionAnother feature that will arrive at the same time as the tyre compound update is an option for league hosts to have inactive managers automatically kicked from a league after a set number of weeks. The default will likely be set to 4 weeks, with the aim of removing all inactive managers from leagues over time. The inactivity period will be defined by their last login, as opposed to their last race. Just read this which answers something about inactive managers: it's obviously on a long to-do list!

for me, a Hall of Fame should include non active accounts. Its a page of overall iGP history.

perhaps, a check-box could be added, "show active only".
giving the option to look at players from the past, and to see how your rank compares against just active players.
maybe the show active only button, should remove anyone beyond a 3month period (just an example).
this could be added as one of the filters.

Sounds good with me - although still think being ranked 500th instead of 19,000 is more appealing (and prob also to other newbs?)

from reading other forum posts, i believe you are allowed multiple accounts.

however, i think it is frowned upon if they are in the same league.
ive seen league admins who wont allow multi accounts, and ask the other accounts to play in a different league to the main account.

I agree that the hall of fame should include all members as well,

However, I think that my rating as an IGP manager should refect my performance against active managers only. It would be unfair to compare 2013 fomula 1 to 1993 formula 1,as a lot of thingshavechaged. Comaring my performance under the new programming to managers who where around during the games early days seems unfair.

1. Jake Stergios - No one really knows how many accounts this guy has... im thinking at least 10 :D lool 
    seriously though, he's very active, one of the best if not the best manager in the game.

2. I agree that active and non-active managers should be seperated

3. Its a HALL OF FAME not a leaderboard.. I take that to mean that it includes both active and inactive managers.

We've been posting about having a current leaderboard for the game since i joined myself

Also another reason some of the accounts are inactive is that, when you get that high, you dont get that many xp for winning races... sometimes you even get negative xp
