I spied on a team in race 2. Development was 100%. Plz confirm this is possible. If it is, I think it is bad for the gameplay

people sometimes focus completly on next eason because when i did that by accident i got 1% for this season then 14% next season so if you do that over the hole season then you will have a 100% car next season and you can keep doing that

k...thanks. I still think it kills gameplay.I mean - If you stop developing in a season, you get rewarded with a super car next season. Thats nonsense i my humble opinion.

No it isn't. It's like real F1

Keep in mind Kenneth, those who develop a 100% for next season will have a hell of a job getting a good car the season after that. Developing with a high design is hellish.

I can pretty much guarantee that Marecedes have focused a large amount of thier devolpent into next season so that they will have a better can next season rather than wasting time, effort and money devolping a car already set in stone as the champioship car.

Take Red Bull for instance, they have a long dominant steak becuase when they knew they were safe near the end of 1 season they could focus thier devolpment onto next season's car which again will give them a head start the following season and so on.

It's not ruining the game,if you are fighting with a team and you decide that you have got the pace over them then you have to make the decision whether you will start focusing on next season development or will you be left too short at the end of this season.

My season: I'm running at around 85% on parts and I could go ahead and max out the parts this season but I believe I've got good enough parts to get me a decent finish in the championship in which case I focus on having a much better season next season rather than doing decent then decent I'll attempt to do decent and then raelly well next season.

Everyone would have a slightly different way of approaching my situation at the moment which is what this game is all about, everyone's got slightly different ideas but who's got the best ones.

I have a lot of commets to your post DJ but let me just say just 2 things:

1) I do not trust your gurantee on team developing strategy :). Do teams stop development after after race 2 (race 1?!) because they knew nobody couldnt get higher than their 100% after race 2?

2) Where is the fun catching a guy allready at level 100% in race 2. Can you outtrain the driver - no. Are you pressed on $ - no . If you are ahead and understand race strategy - you will not loose anyway!
This game lacks competiness! It should be more complex!

1)In terms of a limit to the amount of devolopent  I suppose not no,that doesn't exist as much in real life, but I'm not wrong, you ask ANYONE linked to f1 and they'll all tell you that Mercedes are focussing mostly on next season now.

2)In terms of my league I find a lot of fun in having a good battle on one  of my better seasons in terms of devolopment, last season was a perfect example, I got to I think 92 ish %  by race 2 on all components but didn't want to be left completely out of it the next season so at that point I moved fully to next season development. I did race 3 and found out who my rivals for the season where, who was having a good season in terms of developemt, I noticed there where one or two teams in the same situation as me and so we all knew that it would come down to tire strategies and how hot we'd let the tires get (tyre change last season mixed it up some what for the better)

Long story short for question 2, the fun becomes who can put together the best strategies consistently throughout the season, join my league honestly, the managers understand the game very well and most of the time out think me even on a better day, you're not refferring to a game issue but a prolem with the people in your league.

Even in your case, the challenge becomes, should I focus on next season devlopent due to the fact that I beleive that I can outsmart many of the racers in my league? As you state above you clearly believe you can

im assuming all of the guys you mention with 100% parts are above level 8?
im guessing this becomes alot easier with the Test Rig and Wind Tunnel.

great thing about competitors having 100% parts for us lower guys, is Spying and Cloning.
ive started this season with roughly 39-55% on parts, yet im actually quite quick compared to a guy ive just seen has some 100% parts. ill clone those and see how fast he is/I am after.
im optimistic about jumping him after a few races!

your right, cash isn't a problem, so start cloning :)

from my short career so far, id say Driver stats and Strategy are the most important thing, because I really shouldn't be so close to a guy with most parts averaging 40% above mine.
