Qualify with first stint fuel

Go to qualify with the amount of fuel that you will use in the first stint of the race

75% (60)
Yes, it will bring new strategies
25% (20)
No, I prefer that the fastest car go first like now

Hey!

I think this idea will bring new strategies to the game.
The idea is, if you are going to use 30L for the first stint you will do the qualify with +30L of fuel. So, maybe you prefer to make an earlier first stop in order to start with less fuel and try to qualify better.

What do you think?

Undercuts might work. They are currently useless

yeah, for now an extra lap with extra fuel is no difference. i think it needs more strategy involved.

Definitely should happen, I think I must have suggested this about 10 times now 😂.

Qualifying seems even more random after the update. In the last race we had a level 8 driver in a level 16 team get pole, ahead of numerous level 18-20 drivers in level 20 teams. He had been 7 tenths slower than me in practice but qualified 3 tenths quicker 🤷🏻‍♂️. For a strategy game it seems strange that something as important as qualifying is so random and this idea would make it much better 👍

Thank all of you!

Let's up the post and see if devs can do something about it!  💪💪

Wait a second, isn't this already a thing? I tend to find with more fuel to start I always end up near the back of the grid Vs low fuel I end up at the top

probably because the further you go the harder the tyre and whatever tyre you start the race on will be used in quali

mmm maybe is a coincidence but right now the fuel doesn't affect it. The qualify session is done with "best conditions" in terms of fuel and tyre temp. You can't modify that. You only can choose the tyre (it will be the one that you are using in your first stint).

Yes Qualifying with fuel of first stint is a MUST HAVE!

This would make one-stops at a disadvantage. Two-stops are OP as is. It would mean everyone would do two-stop, so it would be boring

OP?

I race at 75% distance and I like mixing up strategies by doing 3 stops starting on softs or 4 stops, but the race gets ruined before it starts if you are behind 2 stoppers on softs. I feel the way it is now makes it boring as people will just got safe and go 2 stops starting on softs or 3 stops starting on SS. Making fuel effect qualifying will open up strategies options in my opinion

In 50% races, I feel that two-stops always win regardless of the circuit. Even at Monaco, where it should be super hard to overtake

Two stops are not OP lol.! 4 stops always faster occasionally 3 stop works with the tracks with long pit times but two .. are you tripping?

But also in 50% 1-Stopp and 2-Stopp are able to win.
At the moment there are some (50%) 1-Stopp victory’s which are not reasonable ..... also yesterday in a 75% race (Italy) 1-Stopp wins.....
