How many leagues have one person/team dominate the leagues every race every season no matter what strategy people are on its always the same out come
Cars always behind same lvl staff how can it always get further behind as the season goes on
Surely there's a trick that people know

Yes I've asked similar question before
And was told it's all down to pushing in corners etc

This has made no difference
Is there something everyone in the league is not getting here

I totally understand this and have conducted tests with others, we ran exactly the same season in development and push levels etc and 1 always dominates.. I've no idea why the only thing I think of is luck
Since the unintentional balance my league has been very competitive and closer than ever before

There isn't 1 big thing that makes you better, it's all about incremental gains; there are so many different things that affect race results that being a tiny bit better than other people in each of them adds up into a big difference. For example when developing your car everyone should be developing the big 4, but if yours is more suited to the current track you could have a tenth's pace advantage, which means you could run a lap or so longer on fuel in the race whilst staying in drs without wasting boost, giving you an advantage on strategy too. Combine that with a good understanding of when to use boost, when to push, how to best deal with lapped traffic, when youre being held up, when you just need to sit in someone else's drs; it all adds up to winning the race by 5-10s rather than being trapped behind slower cars down in 6th.

Ehh, not really. Sure fuel economy does play apart, but its significantly less important than the big 4. Its absolutely the most important of the other 4, but you will end up with a better car if you max the big 4 first before touching anything else, rather than trying to max out fuel economy at the same time.

Right didn't realize it posted from this account was meant to be from my main account that's max lvl which I've played with since 2018
I've tried everything but can't get close by the time the 1st pit stop is done the race is over (normally 4stops )

Totally agree, it’s all the small things that add up. Like holding onto a drs train when you’re on a slow stint in order to get a head start on a faster stint.

Like using push level in order to get drs from traffic
Or having 2 cd’s and swapping them mid season
Or the odd extra spying gain in big 4,5
Or push level 1 on the drs strait, cooling tyres just a bit in order to push harder in corners and gaining that fraction of a second
Or picking exactly the right moment to use boost

All the small things add up, it’s a snowball effect

Yes I understand stand all that as I've learnt over the years but just being max lvl I don't get how everyone can't keep up

Several things determine how good you are in iGP
- Development of the car, don't touch cooling and reliability, upgrade the big 3 first (acceleration, braking, handling), then downforce/fuel economy, then if you have a long season upgrade tier economy.
- Boost use, especially post-3d update. Boosting when you are above 320kmph doesn't do much and is pretty much a waste of boost.
- Pl use, usually you should do pl5 in the corners and pl1 in the straights.
- Strategy, right now in 50% races it's mostly S-S-S or S-M, but if you can bring in a different strategy and win on it (SS-S-S, SS-M-S, SS-M-M, SS-S-S-S, M-M, etc) it will help you out in points.
- Making races over 95% of the time is also very helpful in at least active leagues.
Chances are I forgot more stuff and there is stuff I don't even know about, but I think a good amount is covered here

Agree with David, you need everything perfect and know racing techniques and you’re almost unbeatable.

Get the right CD/TD and driver.
Adapt suppliers to track
Research the top 4 as efficiently as you can.

Then there’s your race craft, micro management of PL when to lower it and put it up and force other cars to use boost, or say with the strat, go a couple of laps heavier, sit in the train and over cut, also when to use your boost to make a break and get a backmarker’s drs etc
