they want to hide the discontent of the players, the next step is to delete the comments they do not like

Hello managers,

Downvotes were used in a toxic way, daily we receive reports from league hosts asking why their helpful comments get dislikes, moderators also receive this harassment when they just try to help or resolve doubts. We analysed some of the downvotes and most of them were coming from multiaccounts trying to create a toxic atmosphere.

We’re happy with constructive feedback about the game, we’re engaging with all of you very often and always giving news about our progress.

Please be patient, we keep working hard! 😊

So, for one person when I was looking for a league kept only putting the word "Bump" in their post, is disliking that considered toxic? Same thing with if I disagree with a mod?

With all due respect, how can suggestions, feedbacks and ideas now be scrutinised (for the benefit of the game) without a balance of 'Likes' and 'Dislikes'?

You mention also it has been used in a 'toxic' way, and moderators have 'receive this harassment' from dislikes.

Firstly, it is not 'harrassment' as you put it, to disagree with a Moderator post with a dislike, particularly if the Moderator gives inaccurate, unhelpful, and/or gives wrong information in regards to player queries. It simply shows that that player disagrees with the post (giving you feedback, and allowing others the chance to give the right information)

Managers and players rightly should be able to voice an opinion (positive or negative) as it can show which ideas/suggestions/posts are positive, and which ideas/suggestions/posts need further work on improving. This is particularly true after the last 3D update, where managers and players can see the updates made, and what many fear, may be the destruction of a once great game.

Secondly, I believe this removal of the dislike feature was at around 18:00 UTC 05.05.21 (with you requesting Darren to remove the feature) This coincidently was after your last post got 2 dislikes.

Players and managers can see you cannot take this feedback (for whatever reason) It could also lead to debate as whether the gaming community think that the Community Manager role is still suitable for you, if you do not want to acknowledge player/manager dislikes with some of your posts, especially when you give incorrect information.

It would be a shame as you clearly care about the game (as we all do) but no one person should be allowed protect himself, at the expense of removing an entire feature.

That is a well-written and well thought out post of disagreement, and anyone who agrees can vote it up. It's already having the intended effect - that's how we have healthier discussions. The ability to express disagreement was not removed, it instead becomes a case of expressing the point well and endorsing what we agree with.

In contrast, the dislike button creates a tendancy toward trolling and abuse. It's often used to shut down debate and "harass" people in the sense that every post that person makes is targeted to demoralise them. We can see activity on the button and who is using it, and the numbers were basically the same 5-10 people utilising their 5+ accounts each to bulk-dislike posts of their choosing, often targeting certain individuals, both in the forums and within league comment sections. It was used to make people feel unwelcome in leagues, in the forum and to drown out debate with negativity.

It was toxic for the community and I can see why other platforms like YouTube removed the dislike count too. They faced the same problem with the same feature.

I know I'm getting off topic
Was that person me? If you were that person I can tell you it was not fun just seeing dislikes in all my comments. And why the just say bump? When I am looking  for a new league I don't want to  spend 5 minutes scrolling to the last post to see what I'm looking for. That's why I was constantly updating  the first post which had all the important details and just saying bump to move it up in the forum.

And to conclude the post. I just want to say that I hope the removal of dislikes is only a temporary thing and don't become a feature . Dislikes are really useful in the suggestion, help and support and bug forum.

No, that wasn't me, It wasn’t even you who I was talking about, I was talking about someone who put no information about their league and all they said was “Join now” and “Bump”, They didn’t post anything other than those two statements. But, it would be a little annoying and I see why someone would dislike that, Maybe instead of just "Bump" you could say the current leaders in points? I see how someone disliking your league post would be annoying though.

What is the point of a like then if u are unable to not like something. Like having an election with only one candidate

There should still be a dislike option though.

Yeah, that is the context of my comment, however if the dislike is gone why keep the like. Perhaps we all live inside the Lego movie now.....

Who are this precious league hosts complaining about their posts being disliked...... show yourselves
