Lags during race

First of all, I’m playing in the 2D mode. Lately I have experienced an increased number of different lags in the game that vary from light ones that barely affect the ability to control the cars to severe ones that have nearly destroyed my race a few times already.

These include (but not limited do, here are just some examples): “dancing” cars icon, that make cars move chaotically; messed up positions, a few races ago I was running second while it showed that I was third both in the table and in the car icon; “speed” lag, when cars are moving with a significantly different speed in different parts of the track, e.g. cars are moving extremely fast though the corners but then they suddenly slow down on the straights, which looks weird.

I get at least one of these bugs every race. There more that I have experienced recently, e.g. “ping-like” lag which could probably have been caused by my own bad connection, which is very unlikely to be true but still could be the reason and many others that I can’t remember now.

I got some severe lags right after the “3D update”, and most of those had been resolved shortly, while the abovementioned ones began to appear more or less recently.

Today during the Hungary gp car icons were literally shaking at the end of the main straight lol

Yeah I’ve had this a lot recently. Was bad for the first few races after the update but then got better. Seems to have deteriorated in the last few weeks again. I’d describe it like you’re being towed with a bungee rope, massively far behind, then all of a sudden you’re level (sometimes visually you’re ahead but still behind in timings). Makes it very difficult to judge DRS zones!

That's exactly what I've been experiencing for the last few races too! And that's how you get discombobulated for a while which is in many cases enough for someone in front of the car you are only visibly ahead of to get out of the drs range and that's where you have to decide what you trust more, your eyes or the telemetry numbers.
