it would be good to get a point for the fastest lap and to have the number of fastest laps in your personal statistics

Hello,

This has been suggest before and the usual argument against having a point for fastest lap is it would further encourage the already common practice of saving all of your boost to deploy it on the last lap which some managers are against.

It's not always the best option to save your boost until the final lap. Sometimes it's better to use it tactically, say to keep up with cars ahead who are on a lower fuel load. I'd be for awarded a single point. Managers would still use boost early if they believed it increases their chance of winning and potentially getting 25 points instead of 19.
