Rain strategy is not working properly

I had setting to switch to W tire if 4mm of standing water, but ended up with I instead with full wet track:



Might as well remove these settings and have everyone fitted with the correct wet tire no?  as with the current system it's not strategy but randomness.

There is nothing wrong there. All according to what you had established.
You mounted Intermediates in your first stint manually, before the race.. And gave the order to switch to Wet Full if 4mm of standing water.
As you can see in the weather window  there was exactly only 1 mm of standing water.... so they kept the Intermediates.
Just like you established.

The in-race gauge only goes up to 1. If the advanced strategy allows up to 5mm but the simulator only goes up to 1mm then that obviously needs to be fixed.

I too was told that a full rain gauge in the race is 5mm of standing water.
