A couple of races ago our league had a race go wet towards the end. My automatic tire strategy is set so that my cars will get Full Wets if it starts raining and there is 0mm of water - I had it set to 1mm before but it took forever for the cars to pit because of how long it took the track to get 1mm of water coverage. I want my teams to pit as soon as it starts raining for wets and that was the only way I could figure for it to work.

Well, it started raining and my cars immediately dove for pit road just like I wanted them to - except they remounted softs instead of putting on wets. Since I was in the lead by a healthy margin at that point, you can imagine how irritated I was. I finished the race on softs and lost both the lead and most of my available points.

On a somewhat related note, I noticed that as my car went slower and slower on the wet softs, when I hit KERS the car suddenly behaved as though the track was dry - my overtaking speed was as fast as it would be if I had hit KERS on a dry track, in other words.

Could you provide a link to the detailed race result of the driver(s) in question showing the stints? This will give me the race ID, driver ID and stint information to look up more on the back-end and see what I can find.

I will forward this to Chris to see if he can uncover any more information. He's fully-booked at the moment though as he's currently working to finish a major update to address lag. It's going to be a while before we can look at it.

The tyre compound at least wasn't a bad choice, the winner used soft tyres while the guy in last used full wets. but the extra pit stop was damaging to your race result. As you're a subscriber, what I have done is gifted your account with 100RP (normally £2.99) as compensation for any distress this may have caused. I hope it goes some way to making up for it.

Hi Jack,

I recently finished race. I noticed, that my wet strategy didn't worked at all. It was raining before start and become heavy rain at start of the race. I configured my pre strategy to switch to full wets if there is 1mm of standing water. I watched my race in "mobile" mode and can't see exact amouth of water on track.

My link to the detailed race result of the driver is http://igpmanager.com/play/?url=race-result/443383/55374. I was 11 sec slower each lap then guys on full wets. I lost valuable points and second place in championship.

on my race today 1st race of the season it rained before my pit so my cars came in early and put inters on, for my second stop i then changed tyre for full wets, when they came in i was surprised to see pit crew put inters on so had to stop straight away for full wets.

so that  has cost me good points and now si can not chage stint 5 tyres to full wets so, so i tried to chnge unscehuled stop to find out both cars came in to put SS tyres on.

not imressed with all the gitches wth todys race.
