My tires look a bit warmer on the 2d data that shows everyone's tires, while the regular data viewer indicator that allows you adjust push settings etc shows a little cooler temps.  Which is more accurate?

This has been noted for discussion in our next developer call. In the meantime could anyone else confirm this is a genuine issue?

Jack is there any chance in future-future way off revisions to the game, can it be made available to 2D viewers an actually "temperature of the tyre" an what each tyre is recommended to be run at.

IE: Current tyre temp for Softs at Spain is 110C (with 5laps on them; with the driver being set to Consistence is key) an the optioal range is 95-110C?

Just another advantage for 2D members

That's strange — I will try to confirm this by spectating a race when I get a chance.

So, I completely forgot about this thread but I have discovered some new things about the free, live data viewer. While I still haven't noticed a conflict with tire heat in the data viewer versus the 2D viewer, I've noticed that the live data viewer isn't delivering real-time acceleration or braking telemetry. It's actually behind by over one whole sector, it feels like - when my driver is braking in the 2D viewer, my driver is going 300+kmh in the free data viewer.

And obviously, when I noticed this strange occurrence, the 2D viewer was the accurate choice.

That may simply have been lag, Blunion.

Some good news - We're underway with projects to scrap these viewers entirely and build them on another platform, not just for desktops, but mobiles too. :) The current viewers are unlikely to receive updates in the meantime. It may mean some compromises (i.e. with the weather situation perhaps ongoing a bit longer).

But I've been holding off writing part 2 of "The Annual" blog partly because I'm not sure which parts of our current projects to show and talk about before releasing them. It's going to be a really big shakeup though.
