Many people have volunteered to assist by providing their time or skills to help improve iGP Manager. This thread has been created to list any ways you can help.
We are currently seeking:

[Voluntary] 3D Render Artist - Anyone that can produce high-quality, high-resolution 3D renders of the iGP Manager car 3D model, for use in artwork and media. We need shots from several angles with a transparent background.

[Voluntary] Moderators - People who can monitor the content posted on the forums and respond to requests to delete offensive comments etc. throughout iGP Manager.
If you are interested, please email jack at igpmanager dot com or PM me (I'm much slower to respond to PMs). We will gladly give a 2D Pack subscription to anyone that volunteers, but please don't do it if the only motive is to get a 2D Pack. :) We want to work with people who are passionate about iGP and genuinely want to help.

I know a few People Who Could Render The Cars to 3D, And Honestly, the Next Big Project should be about Making Races 3D. It would take alot of Work, and Much more Man Power. Also I could Get Some App Developers to Develop The Android Version Of The Game.

Believe it or not, iGP was never meant to be 2D. We've had about 8 of the tracks fully built in 3D (and I mean high quality, good enough to use in a racing simulator), since... 2010. They have just been sitting collecting dust because we were running over-budget and out of time to get something released. We've never managed to secure enough of a profit to actually resume work on it either.
That's actually why we have a 3D car that you can put liveries on. That was supposed to go in to those 3D tracks.
In the end we had to switch to 2D in order to get the game out. You wouldn't believe how much money it costs to pay a team of 3D artists to build a track. One track. Multiply that by 15 or 20 and you can see why it's not the sort of project two guys should have tried to take on paying for our of their own pockets.

Makes Since, I know that some time later you guys will be able to do that if you guys can get enough with the subscription Thing. Hopefully I will still be a fan of racing by then.

In the end, 2D is fine anyway. It will port very well to mobile and run well on all devices.

Also, I do believe that it should have been 3D, The way its just set up, it's begging for it to be. But sometimes money is your friend, and sometimes its not. This situation makes it your friend, and right now, you could use its help.

That is also true, but most Racing Apps are 3D.

Just sent you an email. Hope you respond to it soon ;)

Just adding my tuppence. I think the 2D model is just fine. MotorSport Manager on the iPad doesn't really do much for me in 3D, the "oh cool" factor wears off after a race or two and I just want to track my race progress, 2D is just perfect for that.

Thanks for all the offers for the moderator position. I'll be reviewing the candidates and assigning the moderators in a few days at the earliest. If you're wondering why you haven't heard back yet, we're not in a rush to sort this out, because there isn't an urgent need for moderators at the moment, but there are more urgent updates and administrative tasks (i.e. filing company accounts) to be working on. So those will get finished first.

Looks promising! Thanks for commenting on the video too, if he's interested let me know.
We had someone volunteer, but he went silent after I sent him the car model and textures... which reminds me, I need to follow up on that!

Is this still going? If there's only slots still open for Moderators, I'd deffo want to be a candidate! :)
Paul Peters medal 5000 9 years 167 days ago
If this is still open count me in for the chance to be the moderator.

giving information to other people is called being nice :D
personally i dont like the idea of having moderators. from past experience a lot of them tend to abuse their power and get one up on someone else and as soon as you disagree with them they can use their power to kick/ban/threaten with ban (some were really stupid and had no sense of humour). Instead just have some common sense and have fun and banter but dont be a knob ;) ;)
Alex Skinner medal 5000 9 years 166 days ago
same here. only ever kick for serious problems really. if they're having a laugh and no-one is upset by it or offencded then i'll let it pass

I know you are looking for a 3d model that you can move around and place where you want. But I don't have the software to do that so here is side angle and side view of car with no background or reflection if you unclick the layers. just copied the image from the livery screen and put it into 3 layers
