Even though we mostly get all the data needed from the 5 free practice laps…

There are times the game just bugs out and gives ridiculous data during practice.
There are times you predict the weather because you won’t have a lot of time to set up closer to the race time, use up all your laps and the weather changes.
There are times you are just uncomfortable and would like to change your set up (suppliers).
Etc.

During these times, being able to purchase extra practice lap times with tokens would be cool. Obviously limited to like just 1 extra lap or two to reduce or avoid issues.
Similar to ideal set up purchase, an option to purchase extra laps could pop up after exhausting your free practice laps.

Thanks for your consideration.

I understand why you suggest this but the core of your suggestion is buying the simulator output with tokens. I’d rather have sim data kept secret which is why I rather am uncomfortable and have just 5 laps

Kept secret? There’s already 5 laps of it. What more is there to keep secret?
Yes having no data at all, that would be interesting but since it’s already there might as well get more ?‍♂️ (I don’t see the no data idea ever passing).

Higher level accounts have so many tokens it becomes useless, personally I just waste mine changing liveries. It could go into something productive as fine tuning your car during those scenarios mentioned above.

Lower level accounts that don’t have the tokens, have the free laps which like I also mentioned is usually more than enough.

The idea is basically just optional.

Since the beginning of this game in 2011, 5 practice laps has been the golden standard, striking a fair balance between finding the right set up, and the number of test laps a driver can do.

This is more than enough these days, as all the car set ups for the various tracks, can easily be found online. And once these set ups are found, you only need to do 1 test lap, nevermind 5.

Suggesting to have more than 5 is simply ludicrous, as not only does it impact the overall stability of the game (by having more test laps, hence more data stored) it also suggests to me, that this would only benefit a tiny proportion of players, who would essentially use the extra practice laps to gather even more data quicker, hasten the process of an eventual stale game.

A lose-lose situation, not too dissimilar to your previous idea of a 192 cm tall female driver, which was suggested to primarily benefit yourself only.

You have a right to your opinion. Not going to waste my time with a back and forth with you for obvious reasons.

Thankfully the decision isn’t up to you or me, the devs will approve or reject as they see fit ?‍♂️.
If you don’t like my suggestion, that’s entirely your business and yours alone ?.

Ok so because you have a lot of tokens, you suggest to run more practice laps, that for you would be a good way to spend tokens.

As I see it, you would like an unlimited amount of practice laps so you can see what supplier works best. And probably work out which of the big 4 works best.

As I said, it’s buying the simulator output with tokens. Does nothing good for the game. I stand with what I said

Lol no man, I actually agree with you. See part I said no data info will be interesting.

Problem is I don't see it happening.

What data do you actually need? All I want is tyre wear % that's it, set my strat and away I go. I think they should get rid of the 3 token instant set up, right now everyone runs perfect setup and that's no fun ?
