It was announced that Bottas will be leaving Mercedes and join Alfa Romeo next season and George Russel signed a contract with Mercedes. What is your opinion about this?

George hasn't officially signed for Mercedes has he?

Hoping this message jinxes it and George does sign moments after sending.

IMO. I am happy for him, now that won't be in Lewis' shadow anymore and would have less pressure.

Right and rather wrong decision for Valtteri. Likewise anyone, quite the pain being ruled out to allow out your teammate to pass and not to hold them. As if pretty much they think of someone being winning less often or rather not almost even one. The right choice is to leave that kinds of habits because he has everything to prove for. Regardless of the car performance you are sitting. Questioning even why he is a Formula 1 driver at the first place.

The rather wrong point is the fact he is leaving a likely podium finisher or a race winning car to the car that is barely even sees top 10. Likely speaking, Daniel. I don't even know why he chose to go downwards to Renault (now Alpine) back in 2019. Or likely his older compatriot Kimi, who moved to the Italian sponsored Swiss team. The gap performance is rather very very wide at the moment and as far we can remember for years. From a winning breed like Red Bull to Mercedes, onto the top 4 battlers like McLaren to Ferrari to AlphaTauri, then the top 10 reachers and lower midfield such as Aston Martin and Alpine. Lower than that, are the teams which even have a gap of their own. Alfa Romeo in this case of being the 8th fastest car. Often giving more than everything to get into Q2 but often struggling as seen of their performance. Then Williams, despite their drivers see top 10 for awhile moving ahead of Alfa Romeo and yet another brilliance from George, on normal condition however, they often end up behind them. And finally Haas, the team that right now only sees the fight between themselves. As Nikita keeps on spinning and Mick keeps himself ahead of his teammate.

However, the fact that he and Felipe forged together the Williams car isn't anything neglectable. And also since the grid is going to evolute to a next gen concept, Valtteri as well can show off what he can do. Who knows if suddenly Alfa Romeo sponsored Sauber team can happen to become a race win fighter and get the better off the LOOOOOOOOOONGGG BOOOOOOORRIIINGGG dominant silver arrows (yeh i'm bored of their dominance). Definitely, there may not seem to be anything going on for Valtteri in terms of championship which has been since he was applied to Mercedes since 2017. But there will be things to play for hopefully next year and those who are fan of Valtteri..

I must say, right you are to not forget about Alex Albon. It is sad that he was dropped out for Checo and not long after, officially ended Red Bull partnership for Williams under the supervision of Mercedes supplier and team principal Toto Wolff. I do not know to reflect about the past or the present of motorsport. There's too much what if around here, not stating that Alex is rather talentless, but getting the best machinery will superseed such factors.

George and Lando both have an amazing talent to offer. Both outwit the machinery with their talent. It will be spotlight for George any moment but Norris on the other hand, may have something even unexpectedly hidden. Alex had a charging through the field character that suddenly faded away when he entered Red Bull. Much tougher than George, he had his moments on the line all hampered by Hamilton. Actually though, the three of them can be rising stars and championship contender of the future..

Who knows if someday Alex would see better days and instead defeating Hamilton by taking over his seat and into retirement

Also we would see this

IS HAMILTON'S CAREER OVER??!

Many drivers go to lower teams, cause they can help improve that car and also test their own skills. Like with Michael Schumacher who did go to Ferrari when it was at the lowest point of the team carrier and he did win races, even though it was normally not possible. Same goes with Kimi, he did race sometimes with the Alfa Romeo faster then anyone could imagine. Yeah both are world champions, but without Hamilton could Bottas be a champion too and next year he gets the chance. I would love to see Sauber in glory again.

Any moves are pointless to agree/understand rn. With next year´s changes we might be up for a really competitive season!
Let´s hope many teams can deliver podium fighting cars next year

That for sure. I hope that with new regulations F1 gets more clean fighting and also fewer underdogs.

I agree. I want to see more different winners next year, not just the dominant names of title favorites.

Yes, just like the 80's where they had like 22 races and 15 winners, but not that extreme, maybe, like 4 unexpected ones at least. But more important is a good title fight
