Hi Managers. I wonder if you could tell me whether a teams points in a currently active season are permanently removed if they leave, join another league and do a race in that but then join back before the season has ended.

Hello,

If you leave a league and then rejoin, after you complete one race in the league, your points are re-added. 

For example, if you leave a league with 70 points, after rejoining and completing 1 race, you'll have (70 points + any points scored in that race).
