Wet weather has been re-enabled in iGP. :)

I see, very exciting. Also try the Java 8 today to see how it runs.
Edit: Java worked really smooth for me even on high quality rendering. Weather was a very welcome return.

awesome that will add some cool components to a race

Great, have you fixed the fact full wets are always better than Intermediates? (Ooopps let the cat out the bag there).
Angelo Manfredi medal 5000 9 years 267 days ago
Great. Change made few hours before the race AND I can't access the race (2 out of last 3 races).
Qualifying made with slicks and after few minutes my drivers are already lapped. Thanks.

I'm not mad, Jack, it's just a game, I didn't wanted to sound rude. Just some sarcasm XD
I noticed that my Development is XP: 625, Next level: 625, Remainder: 0, and I'm on level 4 and not 5. Not a problem, it's minor and just a game, didn't bother notice it.
But for such critical changes, please, don't announce it and apply it with such short notice. To me you should give AT LEAST 8 hours. Especially when Java compatibility is still under review. I'd announce that rain would have been available for the race after this one, Bahrein, to leave plenty of time for everyone to react accordingly.
Cheers

Angelo it never rains in Bahrain, and some other leagues have different time schedules. So matter how he introduced it to the game somebody is going to have their toes stepped on.
Angelo Manfredi medal 5000 9 years 267 days ago
Ok, I've replied again because I didn't wanted to be sound harsh, sorry guys.
In my opinion such changes shouldn't be announced and introduced for the immediate next race, simple as that. Major reason the fact that races have different time schedules ;p
But just my opinion on how I would have handled it, just a little suggestion for future similar changes, take it as you will.
I am more than happy that there is rain and weather, by the way. Thanks (not ironic!).

I really like it that the rain is back - but:
what I really miss is that we are able to save separate setups for rain and dry conditions.
Or even better: that we can name the saved setups, so it would be easier to do different setups for hot/cold/rain/...

Is rain back in all leagues?
It was supposed ot be bucketing down in belgium but the live race had no rain enabled (assume this because we all ran on normal tyres onstead of wet ones)
League was Rookie in Aussie F1
Cheers

There is a slight delay (up to a maximum of 15mins) between the real world weather and the iGP weather. Is it possible that it started raining and the delay is the reason it didn't rain in your race?
Rod Skilton medal 5000 9 years 261 days ago
I suppose it's possible that the race occurred between rain squalls. I'll keep a closer eye on the weather tonight. It's supposed to be cloudy, so hopefully it will rain. I'll update here when I get a definite answer on it.
Cheers
EDIT: Just checked weather and forecast for Italian GP is 40% chance of rain so a fair chance of finding out.

@jack Are you still using http://www.wunderground.com/? If there is a delay then isnt it possible to just have up the undergroundweather site whilst racing and adjust your strategy according to that, this would give you advantage over everyone not doing this?

That is what the weather station is for....

Potentially, but you never know what the delay is, so you might see something that could arrive in 1 minute or 15 minutes, and ultimately the weather station in-game will be about as useful.

Well, rain is definately working. It was bucketing down in Japan last night all race. Lots of cars ducking into the pits to get off Intermediates. Full wets were the only tyre choice for the race.
We're all glad that rain is now on and adding an extra texture to this great game. Looking forward to more gameplay updates.
