Hey everyone,
So I've got a suggestion to improve this game and that is dillema's. I think that the game be more fun to play (I find this already much fun to play) with dillema's, because they have consequences for your team.
Below a example which I'll tell in a story form:
So I'm going to iGP to get my daily reward and train my driver for the next race in the league where I'm in. I'm in iGP Manager and I get a message.
The message: Head Engineer says "Boss there has been a fire by our headquarters which has burned down the youth academy headquarter! What should we do?"
The options: Option 1: Pay 2 million to get your youth academy to the level were it was. Duration: 7 days to rebuild. Option 2: Get your youth academy back and start at level 1 again. Costs: nothing and duration: nothing.
I choose option 1 because the youth academy is important for me.
Head Engineer: "The boss has made a good decision by rebuilding our youth academy." #teamwork #bestboss
Now that's out of my way I can do what I was wanting to do
End example story in form.
If you had chosen option 2 you would have had a other message from your Head Engineer. If this suggestion gets approved you'll get often dillema's from your team.
I've got the idea for this suggestion from the Motorsport Manager Racing game where you have often dillema's.
Let me know what you think of this suggestion.
I personally think that this is quite awful.
Let's say you are a top team, lvl 20 or so, having maxed HQ in some places
Suddenly, there is a dilemma like that, and if he/she doesn't have enough money, he/she will lose that building's level; or even they have, like you said, they will have to wait for 7 days, which is quite a long time (doesn't matter if you have a maxed out driver, of course)
So assume it happens on an important department, such as the Technology or Design - this will have a HUGE impact on the performance, especially with managers in championship fights. Or if it happens with drivers, like they are injured and can't attend the next race, it will be a disaster for teams without a reserve driver; and to avoid so, every team will have to buy a reserve player (or promoting them from the academy) in advance, which causes financial problems. I don't think it really make sense to just randomly put a dilemma on somebody and make them lose a whole season or put them in debt.
I agree that dilemmas work well in Motorsport Manager Racing, but it is not a real-time game. IGP Manager is a real-time game, and these dilemmas shouldn't be happening that much, it will cause some kind of angry or even inhibit. It will also harm not-really-active managers a lot, cause if they only join the game once a day in races, they may not know about the dilemmas and it will have harmful effects on themselves and their teams.
