Which of these lines would you rather want to hear Sunday by Crofty:
Option 1: "We had a Mercedes and Lewis Hamilton domination over the past years, but it's over now, as Max Verstappen CROSSES THE LINE TO TAKE HIS FIRST EVER WORLD TITLE! What an incredible high-flying career he had!
Or option 2: "He was tied with Michael Schmacher until now, he has re-written history, he broke one record after the other, the next one has fallen! LEWIS HAMILTON, IS AN 8 TIME CHAMPION OF THE WORLD! What a season this has been, no one thought about it just 4 races ago!

Can I choose option 1, but without him crossing the line? :)

Somehow it did turn out neither really. Hamilton would win now by taking out his opponent more efficiently (Nothing to prevent him from winning while his victim is out of the race with a smashed car and a penalty another race due to the engine VS Max taking himself out too and taking a penalty into next race with his victim being out with some repairs needed), but then while a race driver usually needs elbows and some egoism to be successful Max crossed where I draw the line this season, he's quick but not really ready yet.
For team, Silverstone crash, Bottas bowling alley and tyres to hit RB while Mercedes mostly just messed up their own race themselves. I'd rather see RB succeed, they just need team bosses as cool as their teams marketing video clips though, less whining and our engineering was great/our (engine) partners messed up stuff.
So on drivers side it's rather Hamilton as he did had not only drive against Max and RB but also occasionally his own teams strategy decisions and thus make up somewhat for the points present his mistake yielded in Silverstone (especially as Max is not entirely free from blame there), but from team side it's rather RB deserving at least the drivers title in my eyes, so I'm stuck in a dilemma.
