Now that overtaking is easier with the new updates, I think we seriously need to revisit and think about a "Hold Position" button.

I have been PL1ing for a whole lap many times and still overtaken the car infront just before DRS, and it is happening to a lot of other managers too. In no plausable situation, in any form of motor racing, would a driver overtake an opponent just before DRS, regardless of tyre compounds.

Might need to have a look at this for the simulation.

Agree with that mate.

By the way, I want to make another suggestion: as the wheel-to-wheel v2.0 is coming soon when cars will never ghost each other, what about thinking of a "defense level" beside push level?
In real life, even when drivers have both ERS and DRS, it is not always easy to overtake as some drivers can defend really aggressively (like Sergio Perez in Abu Dhabi or F.Alonso in Hungary). This can have 3 levels: let opponent go through, normal, defend fiercely. This will create another kind of strategy that managers can think about, as sometimes heavy defending may cause the driver to lose a lot of time, but can also allow his teammate behind to get close and pass him; on the other hand, let opponent through means that you easily give up track position for now, but can save time to reovertake him later(if your car and strategy is good enough, of course)

The game isn't the issue, your competitors are.

Frankly I'd be happier if the game is just left alone for a while and only thing worked on is the bugs and making the game stable across multiple platforms.

Regardless of what competitors are doing, no driver would still overtake just before DRS only to be overtaken again. I've been in the situation where three laps in a row I overtook right before DRS, got overtaken and then passed infront again right before DRS. No matter what push level or tactic I was using. This wouldn't happen in any situation.

I do agree bugs and stability are priority atm, but it's only a suggestion thread.
