what have you done with the game? The whole race is one after another. The tires are worn out ... no problem, the car is running like new tires. There is a ton of fuel ... no problem, the car is running like empty. The drc works like a catapult on an aircraft carrier.

That is because dirty air is now removed🤷‍♂️
Seeing up to 8 cars on in the 1 second range is such a joke. Not just this is simply a nonsense, but also it causes traffic jam on the braking (like there used to be in the pits).  Anytime you can expect to be overtaken by a bunch of "slower on paper" cars in one corner which is frustrating.
The second issue is making a "Max" move before the DRS straight is now highly encouraged, so a slower car can stay in the train while slowing down the faster one. Haven't tried the update in a 2 car league, but I guess this might become a popular "team strategy" there that nobody really wants.
This update makes what was considered an open wheel racing game a NASCAR plate racing. And in order to fix this I suggest: 1) reimplementing the old version of dirty air (which was ok); 2) making DRS advantage much lower, so that two equal cars could do the leapfrog thing if only they stay very close and therefore spend boost as well. It has been said for a long time that track position advantage should be important in such management game.

Liked tyre performance/wear fix a lot though, sad that many strategies a still destroyed by the DRS train.

Dirty air will be returned sometime in the future when the code has been fixed.

For now, just enjoy the game. The update while flawed in some parts still has a lot of positives and the dev team are always working to improve.

A lot of effort and time went into testing, testing that was done free of charge by many experienced managers.

It’s a game and no game is perfect. There will always be ways to improve, so instead of the insults maybe you should channel your energy into constructive criticism.

No game is perfect its true but just make the game more realistic n make sense!

I hope there will be tyre puncture and car out of the track if the managers push the car with very high or high when the the tyres already under 40%, percentage tyre puncuture n out of the track will happen 65-75% espceally SS n S , so the manager wont get the point which mean back to the pit retire by the tyre puncture or out of these track(tyre slip).
These will be more competitive n interesting, but u have to add some information about the tyre when the managers choosing the compound, or make new tutorial of tyre wearing for newbie
Then the managers can read "its written on the tyre 65-75% there will be tyre damage or slip n under 50% the speed will drop"!

Completely disagree and believe that the decision to remove dirty air was great. A couple of examples of this could be races I did in the last two days, qualified around P20 with both cars, but had a faster car and a harder compound. During these races, while I was stuck behind the pack for a couple of laps, after their tyres got below 50% I was able to get by them easily as my tyres were a lot fresher. This update also makes the racing better in my opinion. As a lot of managers saw before this update, it was almost impossible to make a pass without boosting or DRS, but now it’s a lot easier. Also, you say that if the tyres are worn it’s no problem, from my point of view and many other managers it’s the complete opposite. Another thing I find great about this update is it lessens the importance of an overcut. I do agree that now the tyre wear is great. Finally for those of you saying that the beta testers are “bad” or “not smart”, it’s the complete opposite. I know some of the managers volunteering as a beta tester (they aren’t paid) and they are some of the not just best managers I’ve raced, but some of the best on the game.

This is a competitive management racing game . Randomisation like punctures , crash dosen't have any place in this game in my opinion

no random. if you push hard with bad tyres and inexperienced driver, you might go out of track and get puncture. so it’s not random.

I think punctures, crashes, safety cars if it could be made to work well enough unlike some previous stuff would be fine as an optional league rule. But not as a compulsory part of the game.

The original post was debating the recent removal of dirty air. The conversation about punctures and crashes has been discussed on many occasions in other threads. Please keep this thread on topic.

I personally think that dirty air should have just had less effect in the race instead of been removed entirely though I don’t know how that could be coded. Currently, with the removal of dirty air races in many competitive leagues have turned into large DRS trains where you have to save most of your boost until the end to have a chance at victory and you can still lose due to factors such as getting overtaken while trying to pass a slower car, bad positioning within the train in the final lap, and lapped cars (I don’t expect those to change I understand why they are in the game). I would personally like to see some dirty air back in the game so a strategy to break away due to the factors listed above and to make a strategy breaking away using clean air work again. I understand that there might be an issue with coding that makes this a problem so if there is keep it as it is.

managers in my league are complaining that the use of boost in the last lap has gained importance destroying all strategies… maybe dirty air was not that bad. but i’m not quite sure…

Totally agree with you. From my pov this is the best update in a year. Racing has become exciting again. On track overtakes are back, tyre management is important again, strategies are way more diverse due to the tyre changes and DRS is useful again.

In comparison to before the update where (with some exceptions obviously) nearly every track was a combination of an S-M or SS-S strategy (adding some more stops depending on race %) and basically every race was a trainfest, I've finally come to enjoy racing again.
