Had a idea, more freedom in at the beginning of the season with development points. Say 400 point allocation, bonus for CD perks for allotting points.

Standard development tokens between races, but include a possibility of fines for espionage. So it's risky rather than a given?

Risky means chance means your season could be done with in a second. This is the thing that managers would leave over. Imagine you have a close battle for the title and oops, you get fined for espionage, no dp points while your competitor does.

And free allocation of dp at start of season, I believe it would lead to all cars beeing the same.

So although I love a good idea and people coming up with them, for me personally it’s a no

Designing should be less straight forward where you build components, aiming for an expected improvement and reduction in certain areas, then get a random result within that criteria. Problem is, you are still provided with the varying result of the stats from the component, you don't know the true component's stat but your Driver's feedback stat could help produce a clearer indication of whether or not it was an improvement.

We unfortunately play a game where raw numbers of stats exist. We should be getting less accurate information.
