So my idea is to:-
- Give drivers a background, untrainable, "fear factor" stat. This stat will affect driver agression at higher push levels, how close a driver can follow at any push level, the percentage of overtake chances taken.
- When crashes are reintroduced, the Fear Factor can easily br incorporated to allow drivers with a higher factor to stay away from more potential incidents.
- The factor itself will be on a 1 to 100 scale with lower figures showing a driver with little to no fear of situations and higher figures showing a driver that would not even say boo to a goose.
- There is nothing to say that a driver with a high fear factor cannot win races or titles. It would be up to the team manager to manage their driver accordingly
- The fear factor during a racers career will go down naturally, following a logarithmic or 1/n curve. Considering the overall driver experience. This is a natural thing. But the fear factor will never go to zero.
- This factor canvalso be incorporated into the autopitting system. The higher the fear factor, the closer to 2 laps of fuel you come before your driver decides to come in.
I may have missed a few things here, but that is the main long and short ofvthis idea.
