With lots of leagus having self inforced rules, such as forcing people to use certain tyres or things like two tyre compounds in the race and so on. Don't you think the league host should be able to disqualify anyone who doesn't follow the rules from the race results.

For example, if you have to use at least two tyre compounds and someone goes S-S-S and finishes 6th. The host should have the ability to DQ them and allow p7 down to move up the standings. You can only do so much with warnings and telling people to pit on the first lap.

I believe the new update just has the two tyre compounds rule. Lots more leagues run different rules so shouldn't they all have to power to enforce them? I don't see why the league host doesn't have the ability to disqualify people from the race result.

Because whilst you are a fair host, don't imagine everyone is like you. There are many out there who would abuse this power.

I would say make it so you can only DQ a finisher before the next race. So you can't go back and DQ a person from a race ages ago.

And if you have got a host who is willing to DQ multiple people for their own gain. You got more problems then people not following your league's specific rules.

Edit: this was a response to someone talking about it encouraging bad hosts. But he got rid of his message

According to Jack one of the new rules that is coming soon is tyres. So there will be no need for league hosts to either check for compliance or to issue penalties for those who break the rules, the game will take care of it automatically.

I can see many ways for some unscrupulous managers to abuse this form of power as well.    So it is a no from me.

Why would you be or stay in a league where the host would actively DQ others and abuse power for their own gain? They already can kick people so what's the difference between doing that to others and disqualifying people

Because kicking people for no reason goes against all principles of fair play. When it happens (you'd be surprised how often it does happen) and the affected managers make a formal complaint the Mods have to step in to sort the mess out. Believe me this takes a lot of time and effort for a bunch of volunteers who get nothing out of it other than abuse from the host who did the unfair kicking.

So if there was another way in which these rogue hosts could abuse their power it would inevitably happen and create a whole new load of work for the Mods.

Surely it is easier to make a ruling about an unfair disqualification than an unfair kicking. If someone doesn't follow the league's clearly shown rule it's easy to check the race results. If someone gets kicked it could be for many reasons. Someone could be kicked for saying horrible thing in the race chat. You can't look back at race chats and judge that.

Surely adding DQs will add another level to punishments. The gap from verbal warnings too kicking someone is too great. Disqualification would be a middle ground.

Surely the verbal warning can be used tacticall as well. If you're in the last race of the season need to better someone to gain promotion or win a championship or whatever. You could just cheat and break the rules to win. What is a warning gonna do, you've now won the championship, you don't care. A DQ would stop that from happening.

The race chats are available for a period of time after the race takes place, so they can be checked.

I guarantee if the power to disqualify was given to league hosts some people would abuse it. I have a real life to fit in around iGP, I volunteer as a Mod and the last thing I need is to have to intervene in even more arguments and controversy.

As for the last race of the season cheat... After the final race of the season the game automatically promotes / relegates and generates the next season. Until this process is complete everyone is locked out. Retrospectively DQ-ing someone after this process has been run wouldn't undo the championship standings or any promotion / relegation.

Your main reason for not making it a thing can't be that there is already a thing that's worse being abused. And I'm a volunteer, so have no time. That is the point of volunteering. You have spare time, so fill you time with volunteering for something and doing the thing.

Also it doesn't matter that it's the last race of the season. That was just an example. At any clutch moment you could sack off the rules and do what you want. Knowing you'll only get a slap on the wrists

I only answered your scenario, because it's the final race of the season a DQ will achieve exactly the same result as a warning... diddly squat.

Anyway the suggestion has been rejected by IGP staff so it's a waste of time continuing with this debate.

Hello,

League Rules update will manage this problem. Hosts will be able to enable/disable League Rules such as two tyre compounds mandatory, refuelling and bonus point for fastest lap (top 10 only). If a car doesn't meet the criteria about two tyre compounds he'll be automatically DSQ from the race results. It's fair to say that's better if the system itself manages this kind of sanctions to avoid controversy.

Will the league rules include options to ban DRS and boost? Also is there any update on how soon they will be launched? I believe the original launch date was in December.
