Java is no longer available in Google Chrome

If you are unable to see the race viewers using Google Chrome or Microsoft Edge then that is because support has been removed for browser plugins (such as Java). Switching to a different browser is the only way to interact with iGP's live races.

We recommend Firefox until further notice, available here: https://www.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/new/

We are redeveloping the race viewers in WebGL, which will return iGP to all browsers in the near future. Work began on developing non-Java race viewers several months ago but is not yet complete.

Why has this happened?
Google dropped NPAPI plugin support (Java, Flash etc.) entirely as of September 2015.This is not an issue specific to iGP Manager, and has equally affected all services using Flash, Java and other NPAPI plugins. A good example is popular MMO Runescape, which is also no longer playable in Chrome.

For more information, see the Java FAQ regarding Chrome:
https://java.com/en/download/faq/chrome.xml

Is there any way to make it work in Google Chrome?
Only if you are using an older version of Chrome (Version 42). An additional configuration step can still activate NPAPI plugins, such as Java. Check your version number under Help and About > About Google Chrome to see if this is still possible for you.

To activate Java in the old Google Chrome Version 42:

In your URL bar, enter:
chrome://flags/#enable-npapi

Click the Enable link for the Enable NPAPI configuration option.

Click the Relaunch button that now appears at the bottom of the configuration page.
It should be noted that come September(?), this workaround will be gone. People should be prepared to start making the switch to other browsers if popular plugins like Java and Unity don't decide to play ball with Chrome's plans. I know iGP is planning on switching to HTML5, but a lot of other sites will have the same issue too.

Guide updated with the latest information. Work is ongoing to rebuild the viewer in WebGL and bring back support to Chrome and all browsers - work which started months ago and is not yet finished.

Last question from me sorry. The 2D viewer is perfect for me, but all the images in the game are off (images at training, finance, development etc). It is written: a plugin is necessary to show these contents.
What should i do please ?

Hi Tolé

For the moment, don't use Chrome. Firefox should work without you needing to install anything except for Java.
