If I were to have no commercial manager, would I earn less scouting XP? I don't see any use for them and I could use an extra 100k per race. :p

The commercial manager position is completely useless at this time. You won't be missing out on anything by leaving the commercial manager spot vacant. I have not had a commercial manager for 3-4 seasons now.
