Attending live races whether league or friendly races, there does not appear to be any explanation how to change anything in there or how to to fo anything as race just starts and no idea how to check things properly. As a newbie would like more clarity

Hello,

In the race viewer, you can access the tutorial by pressing the settings button in the top right, and then the help button. 
This tutorial will explain the ways that you can manage your cars within races and guide you on how to be successful. 

Additionally, pinned to the help and support subforum are multiple guides which provide additional guidance for the race viewer. I'll link a few of them below.
