Custom Point Systems

I think it would be a good idea to allow leagues to set up a custom point system, to some extent, not full control of what every position gets in points, but at least how many drivers score points per race. Currently our league has 5-7 teams that consistently setup in the Elite tier, and all are fairly high level. When new teams get promoted they are typically lower level, and have no opportunity to get their drivers into the top 10, which means they never score points. Then they leave, because what’s the point of suffering for months just to hopefully eventually crack the top 10 so they can actually feel like they’re playing the game. Currently there’s no difference between 11th and last, so there’s no incentive to race and compete if you’re locked outside the top 10. If I was able to change the scoring format to give all top 20 cars points, then at least the new teams would be able to compete with each other for points, and they would be able to truly see their progress as they climbed from 20th up to 15th, then further, whereas now a driver that improves from 20th gains nothing unless they make it into the top 10.

This has been discussed in previous threats, but it is unlikely that it will come soon in the next update.
Btw, if they plant to release it this week, it will better be today because apple doesn’t approve updates over the weekend, isn’t it?

Something I'd like to add to the customisation of something like this for league rules would be to discount worst 1-3 results. For some leagues that would help allow for real life but keep seasons close cos we've had close seasons turn not close because somebody misses a key race in my league.

Do you know what? Why not? ? 

Wouldn’t this be possible in a custom spreadsheet as already happens in some leagues?

I’m just thinking about other improvements I’d like to see dealt with first. Not saying it’s a bad idea, it’s a good idea but not top priority in my book
