Just thought I would throw this out there due to the new league rules coming out. With some leagues going to no refueling, I feel that it would be possible for people to just abuse the tires and the wear and not risk a puncture to avoid pitting. I was wondering if there was an idea in the pipeline/near future to change how/when tires get punctures; as right now they only puncture at 0%. Just an idea to put out there and see if anything was in the works. Feel free to put your ideas about this below.

yeah. even in F1, there is a "puncture zone" where it is likely that the tyres will puncture (like about 50% and above, the risk increase every %). In igp, this could mean whenever the tyres are in the red zone, it can be punctured. If the collisions are going to be implemented, debris from impacts can also cause punctures.

I said yes but should be a league option and also even a small risk in lap 1. Also has to be implemented in a state of the game where drs trains aren't really a thing. Not quite on topic but ties in slightly, having  done our first refuling race in our league last night it was noticeable how much harder it is to follow the car in front especially on high fuel and this for me was very welcome because then the race starts to boil down to tyre stratergy and not who stays in drs for a last lap 100% boost. Also probably the fuel format when people may risk running tyres lower than we are all used to for stratergy reasons. So I think as an optional rule it could tie in nicely with the new refuling ban option.

The other thing is there is a diffrence between performance life and safe operating. As we know depending on the track tyres really fall off somewhere between 30-40% life but that shouldn't mean a drastic increase in puncture chance then. That would be later maybe around 20-25% life or below.
