Medium tyres are almost as bad as hards atm.
Owing to the lack of balance between the different tyre compounds There aren’t currently any situations where meds are superior to softs. Most tracks and temps mean that S,S; or SS,S; and occasionally SS,SS are the most optimal tyre strategies. Worn out S tyres are always faster than new M’s which is a crazy situation (although fuel load also impacts speed).
It’s shame and tyre balancing is greatly needed in the game so that running longer stints on M or H is rewarded and multiple strategies can be successful.
I absolutely disagree with this.
I had a race a few days back where Mediums were only about 3 tenths slower than softs, and after about only 5 laps they were faster.
In the majority of races, yes, mediums aren't as good, but in a good deal of races mediums, over the course of a stint are much better than softs. It just depends on the track and situation.
