I have finished all the research available to me, if i sold it, would i lose the advancements that i have researched?

Nope! You wouldn't lose anything.

Except money! In my opinion, it is pointless to sell it, after researching KERS, there's so much money in your pocket it does more harm than good to sell it. There may possibly be more features available in the future at some point that can only be acquired through the research facility.
