Most better players are constantly changing push levels every corner and every straight per lap. I have been playing for years and was thinking about this and it really seems counter to what a manager sim should be. We should not be “driving” the car but managing the team and race.

1-5-1-5-1-5 every lap.

If a random delay was added to the changing of the push level. Let’s say between 1 and 10 seconds, it would still give the manager the ability to manage the driver and race without the ability to manage every corner, which really should be the drivers job.

Thoughts?

I think it is necessary to have this amount of control from a gaming perspective .
In a game where everyone can have the same stats (car, driver) and the same strategy, it's the little things that make the difference.

I would like it more if this suggestion was implemented along with an offline rule where managers can still influence the race, but in a very limited way, like your idea, changing push levels every certain number of seconds or even laps. From this point of view it would be like the race engineer is telling the driver to go faster or slower in a lap

First paragraph: totally agree, if not for push level, there’s only boost going on in a race, add random delay and we’ll all just be watching races, pressing boost in last lap, not playing a game. It would be like you would ask in fifa to take control of your players all the time. A great match but boring cause you would have nothing to do

Second paragraph: no thanks ?

I agree.  Second paragraph goes against spirit of offline racing
