Now Kevin that’s a bit shortsighted, no? I actually think the suggestion makes sense. Having 2 drivers opens up options for different sponsor goals

I think this is important because I am at a loss of million every race if I don't get the sponsor goals. So we need this for a steady income and a chance to move forward

That won't work. Extra money will have to be offset by extra costs, like a the pit crew currently coming up in suggestions again. Also things to consider are if it's worth solving troubles like the one Kevin mentioned (that requires a double set of goals depending on league) and also considering the balance between 1 and 2 cars. For the latter it should work out though as it could be balanced to offset the extra costs of the 2nd car, currently 1 car has an advantage in how easy it is to manage funds.

An easy fix could be each car gets 2 sponsors, a 2 car team definitely seem to struggle with cash more then a a single car team especially early on

What about a personal sponsor for each driver? Keep one sponsor for the team. And add personal sponsor for each driver
If the driver is strong, manager can choose a sponsor for him, with generous bonuses, but setting a more difficult tasks (for example, hitting the finishing top 5 or top 10). And a simpler sponsor for a weaker driver, who sets a simpler tasks for him. For top and profitable teams, this idea is not necessary. But for novice managers who are constantly struggling with financial problems, having additional sponsors can help a lot
