League creations..

This is just a shout out to all managers..

PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE Stop creating new league in a game that is finding it hard enough to stay above the water line as it is..

1 person sat for weeks, not getting people in the league, then stopping playing the game is just crazy.. Esp at this time when we NEED people through the door.


Jack.. As a "Short" term solution.. Can you please stop the creation of new league??

For the ones who thinks that this is a stupid idea.. Please look at the actual "Turn up to race" players, the ones who have several accounts playing in one league and so on..

I checked one league and they had 9 in Eliets, 14 in Pro's and 14 in Rookies... With only 1 manager actually active.. Honestly 1 driver on 200+ points and everyone else on 0..

Unless it's the everyday leagues and only 2 others.. Every league has a few members running.. This is not good enough tbh..

We are even looking in to a merge with a a league but it's not out league that is at fault.. When I looked, there wasn't one league with active members that suited us..


I think it needs to be stopped until this new system is in place and then to re-look at league..

Our league has 3 of the same members for the past 3 years and another who is close to 3 yrs.. We didn't know each other when we joined up.. So this "We want to race together as 4 mates only and not interact with other leagues." is a BS approach and is killing this game even more.

I agree with this. There are way too many leagues that have low activity and very few that are high in activity.

Currently, my league (1-car teams) in the Rookie and Pro tiers are suffering greatly, with only about 15 active managers in the Rookie tier and 12 active managers in the Pro tier (although the Pro tier never got a chance to fill up once the Promotion zone kicked in). The Elite tier is currently filling up and it is at 16. Eventually it will be completely full and so will my league's pro tier, and the Rookie tier will sadly be dead in a few seasons time, as no promotion zone will be present.

I have had a lot of trouble finding leagues with active managers in the last few months. With one of my accounts in the last year 3 leagues have just hemorrhaged managers until they disappeared. Every time it happens, it gets harder to find another competetive league with active managers. Currently I am in 2 good leagues with active managers, but alas, one wlll soon fall victim to this same fate.

Perhaps an easy code to write would be, no new leagues unless current leagues have X number of teams with >2points after 2 races.

I don't mean to make this another thread of numerous ideas for changes to the game, as all of us managers owe it to Jack and his team to do our part to ensure the continued success of iGP.

I have to agree with the sentiments expressed here.
I have been playing IGP for a couple of years now and had to move leagues several times, just so I could compete in a league that had active members.
I'm currently in a 2 car league with Ray, I moved here because my previous league had seen participaation dwindle.

I love this game, but there is no enjoyment when your on your own.

i've got my league going and i managed to get my mates to join and we've been active ever since. we may have the odd innactive manager but they tend to be removed to make room for new players as we were full in season 2 and people couldn't join the rookie due to innactive managers.

The leagues are like sub forums,, you could have a lot of replyis or not.

Other problem is the inactive managers crowd, crowding some inactive long time ago leagues... THe system erases inactive leagues with no races...

Then the success could be the automatic inactive manager removal,,, i know leagues with 15 managers and all inactive. removing them automatically make the league not atractive then more easy to erase for the system.. and more active crowd for active leagues... 

TAKE IN MIND:____________________________________
Some leagues are not full crowded or nice on Elite tier but absolute boring PRO or Rookie or inverse case. or no other tier entratns.

1. Create a limited nr of leagues (ex. 3 with 50% of race and other 3 with 100% of race);
2. Create these 6 leagues x 3 or 4 different times (meaning a total of 18 or 24 leagues) spreaded along the day to allow people to adjust schedules;
3. Just eliminate all other

Or a simple graph/ratio score telling people when looking at a league how many players are active. Allowing people to join leagues with as high or as low activity as they wish to

I share the feeling bot do not agree on league creation restriction. If that happens me and my friends would be subject to other people's whims when setting race start times, weekly frequency, race lenght and other stuff. And we have schedules to fulfill, making it difficult to enjoy the game.

That is only my opinio though.

I started this game in December 2011 and I've seen a lot of top top managers come and go over the 3 1/2 years playing this..

I also started this game with a bunch of mates in TeamSpeak.. 8 others including myself... All have gone but I am still here.. for 1 reason. The managers who are still here.. Jools, Kay, David, Yuri and now the new guy to our league... Ray. (whom I do not know outside of iGP except Yuri.. I game on other things with him now.. meet through iGP.)

We are all players who have real lives going on.. Most are 30+ in age and we wouldn't be playing if we was forced in to every day racing.. So 100% x 3 days per week is enough..

As for the every day guys.. Well, try to find a hand full who have been playing every day for the past 3 yrs.. It's not going to happen.

Fact is this... iGP had over 1400 managers logged in daily at one point.. Now it's just over 500 on good days.. (These are multi accounts as well.)

A system should be put in place where managers tick boxes for their requirement. This will bring up results of leagues for them to join.. When a league gets 10/16 or 22/32 a new league auto opens up.. giving the chance for up to 6 mates to jump in one league together..
If there are no leagues to suit any of the requirements.. Then if you are a prem account holder.. You get the chance to open up a new league.

Covers every one.


This of it like this.. "I want to play a multi player game...... on my own."

the forum thread for your league has not had anything added to it for 112 days.
if your short of new recruits, perhaps advertising it would help.

tell everyone what a fun and active place it is, and they WILL come.
if you purely rely on the league selection page, then the league would appear to be very quiet and unpopulated.
give them a good reason to pick you ;)

ps, when a league I used to be in had a dead Rookie tier, I created a 2nd account and intentionally lost the champ for like 4/5 seasons. I did this to share as much info as I could to new players and make it feel like they weren't alone. the tier grew quickly, and some of those players are now long time Elites. might be worth a try too to help your rookie tier grow.

We've done several hundred shout outs.. :D up to 10 days ago.

6/6 active managers who are in the 2D 99% of the time.. Talk more than any other league with fun banter.. Shouts of in laps (Or as we shout.. TIN SLAPS and anything else that sounds like it..) more help and advice than any other league can have..

Trust me when I say that.. You don't have guys hanging around for 2hrs after the race searching bits out for the team like Yuri and Daniel has done time and time again.. Having someone pitting with 0.2 every stint to gain time.... and openly tells you that he is doing that and how much fuel he's put on...

You honestly can not get a better 3 day league who like to race and have a good time...

Daniel Blanco would be back in the league tomorrow if it wasn't for the time issues... and others would of been back if the game had updates...

We are looking in to joining another league (as a group of 6) if there was one for us.. but no other league except 1 suits us. :(

Don't take this the wrong way.. but it's the age thing..

Most of the 2 or 3 day leagues will be full of people who have commitments away from iGP / families to tend to / not wanting to sit day after day for 2 hrs.

Also with the age thing, comes the length of playing this game... Most under the age of 25 are not PC only gamers and play this on devices like phones / tablets and like the "jump in for an hour every day" style to this game... but with the development.. They soon get fed up and leave.

Sean, if this is your main account or only account.. How many times have you seen leagues created by 1 to 4 members.. sit there giving shout outs to the league.. get no one else join and then they aren't around for long.. and if that is your main account.. You've only been around 1 yr and must have seen quite a few in the year alone. ( hope that last part doesn't sound rude with the 1 yr thing.. not meant as.)

I've seen my league full in each tier.. Lack of progress is the main issue that drives people away.. but allowing new members to come in and sit on their own for a week and then quit is an embarrassment to iGP..

It is definitely an age thing, and I am "allowed" to shirk my work duties a couple times a week, not everyday.

The one part that is hard for me to understand is how all the 3 day leagues seem to be disappearing. I sincerely hope that we can all find a league that will take us as package.

Hopefully Jack will see this and take note. With the planned updates I hope there will be some improvements to the league structure.
