So for last season, we implemented several league rules, like no refueling and two tyre rule. Since it was a success, we're running such rules again for the upcoming season.
But then for no apparent reason at all, it reverts back to the default setting (refueling, no tyre rule, no bonus point, no nothing).
Since race 1 hasn't started yet, maybe developers can do something about it to rectify the issue because the new season hasn't officially started yet?
Any help would be appreciated.

I will escalate this to Support but just to manage your expectations, as far as I know it is not possible to retrospectively apply league rules to a season which has already been generated. I think you're stuck with a season of "no rules"

I agree it is counter intuitive, I would expect that any league rules that have been selected would carry over from one season to the next until they are intentionally de-selected by the host. Unfortunately this is not how it has been implemented, if you want any league rules for the next season they must be selected by the host before the final race of the current season starts.

I believe this situation is on the radar of the development team but I have no idea when or if any changes are going to be made.

I appreciate this doesn't help you but hopefully other hosts will see this thread before they fall into the same trap.

Yeah, just saw other manager complained about the exact same thing. I guess it's more of a bug-related issue within the game. Shame because players are actually enjoying the change of scenery brought by these new sets of rules, especially no refuelling rule really spices things up and brings out creativity in terms of strategy, which makes race even more exciting imo.
That being said, I'm looking forward to the good news. Thanks for the response, very appreciated.

Fyi...

The rules system seems to revert to default settings for a new season.  This can be changed back by league hosts in the correct management area.  But, it can still be annoying if you run the same schedule every season.
