So it was the first race of the season and I noticed my drivers pitted a lap earlier for no reason at all, Javier Casillas pitted on lap 8 with 8.5 litres of fuel onboard, when each lap used 4.2 litres of fuel.
I had the pre race setup done without needing to add changes (until this happened)

I have had glitches before where I have made changes during the race and then the changes weren't made which were annoying as they set me back quite a bit.

Also, I should add that when I clicked on 'submit new thread' it reloaded the page and gave me a new thread without posting what I had just written

Maybe u should post a screenshot of your race analysis. Or at least raceId. Hard to tell what happened with these little facts.

What was your tyre % remaining?
As Cole said

I had 48% tyre life and enough fuel for 2 laps as mentioned.

Here are the race ID's

4.2+4.2=8.4
4.24+4.24=8.48
Dangerously close considering you said 8.5 was left. Also, if you were not at full push, there is almost a guarantee of running out if you pushed harder. I don't think it was a mistake, you just needed 0.1 or 0.2 more in the tank and they would have done another lap.

Well, we can't see the fuel and tyre life percentages at http://igpmanager.com/play/?url=race-result/508983/225948 u r seeing. But I guess lap 8 shows you a 100% or 99% tyre and your fuel refuelled, cause your pitbox is BEFORE finish line. So, unfortunately we are missing info here. Therefore the 8.5L mentioned above was after lap 7. In lap 8 your TD decided not to gamble, since going into lap 9 would be risky.
