If you take a look at some former results of leagues, you see all drivers that participated in a certain tier. Not so for teams. It seems like only teams are listed, which are still in this league.

That even leads to the promotion warning "Promotion inactive, 8 teams required". Makes no sense. At the time league was filled. First two promoted.

Nice find, but I'm amazed this hasn't been highlighted before.
The reason this happened is because when a team left a league their points were set as "inactive" so that they weren't counted at the end of the season, but it would also wipe all historical standings for that team in that particular league in the process. Any teams that left the league in other words, had their historical standings erased.
I have changed the code, meaning this should not happen in future. Now, it will only wipe the points from the season that they leave the league, meaning it will keep all historical records.
Unfortunately, it would be very tough and time consuming to go back and rectify all the standings affected by this. Time is better spent on the new iGP at this stage.
