Today I came up with a simple "brilliant" idea, to add to the league rules a small restriction on the replacement of engines, which I mean (?), in the rules you will need to select a certain number of "not penalty engines" from the available number (20) per season , if you exceed these limits, you receive a penalty of +10 positions(or more) after qualifying for the starting grid.
What are the benefits of this? I think spending tokens on engines is less, the priority of pumping such a parameter as "cooling" increases, and it will be more interesting that way))
Of the minuses, I don't know, except that it will be a little more difficult to play (but unlikely), and the issue is implementation. ?
Do you think you would want to play with these rules and what do you think about it?
P.S. Sorry for my English.

Your ideas are good but don't take in consideration when a player leaves a league. I see a larger area of the game that should be changed. Engines, sponsors and staff's and drivers' contracts should be based on league calendar. In this scenario your suggestion would be necessary. As of now in elite tiers you cannot be competitive if you don't buy engines and I bet that engines are the first thing in iGP token expenses.

In general I find the idea of having to manage engines interesting. However I'm afraid that the races itself suffer as the cars with new engines will race in a league of their own, followed by age 1 engines and so on.
There won't be any token saving however. The provided engines have to be scaled to be roughly half the allowed number and the token cost to buy the other half 1 token per race average use to keep the spending balance. It's the games foundation that getting along with the provided budget of money and token requires financial management and to get out of it needs an investment of buying a token with real money providing the means to continue to run and develop the game.
