How much longer do hard tires last than softs.

And what compound in terms of length are wet and inters similar to.

It depends on tracks.

Usually about softs lasts about one-thirds of what you expects from hard.

For wet tyres, I think the durability of both compounds are pretty much similar, the only big differences is when to use it and the amount of standing water.

related to this and rather than start a new thread, where am I going wrong? using ss tyres my drivers are up to 2 seconds a lap slower than on softs, same push level all track types

Are you watching your races live on even on the free viewer?

If your using the same push level the SS will get super hot and be less effective. Also, whats the track temp? Last night in Germany it wasnt hard to run the SS for 8/9 laps as the temp was so low... but in some other tracks the would be red hot after the first lap due the weather temp

Coming from someone in the Pro tier of the same league Steve another reason is that your drivers may not be up to the same spot as other drivers in there as well as car might not be as developed

On SS you might nearly always use PL1. Exceptions:
- Monaco up to PL4 if it is very cold.
- PL2 if it is cold in Germany, Hungary and probably Singapore (never had a cold race there for some reason).

Hard to say something definitive about Rain tyres: Wear depends on amount of water on track, too. If track is totally wet (5mm = 100% beaker = 1,00) tyres wear less.
In this condition they even wear that little, that you don't have to care about. They easily go for 25% race distance, so you stop for fuel anyway, way before tyres need a change.
Different situation in mixed conditions. But usually mixed conditions only last few laps.

Cole, how do you know that 100% beacon is 5mm?

I understand Jacks post here in that way, that full beaker is 5mm.

That fits with the scale at the beaker.

You are right Cole, we'll never have a cold race in Singapore...
I live there, so peak temp during the day is about 38 celsius (avg. 34) and about 30 average at night.

that's a sure thing Charles, it's my first season, so no part of the car is anywhere near the rest of the field. that plus racing 1/2 a season with pedal car drivers, i don't expect to be challenging for anything for a couple of seasons:) at least. 18th and 19th best so far
