You can prepair for the next race but not for the following races and it would very helpfull if you can prepair for the following races, because when you go on holiday or something you can't prepair for that races and then you will retire races.

That's why they are making mobile app you will be able to setup and view races on your phone while on holiday ;)

But on Holiday I maybe won't be online!

you can lie on beach with a phone in you hand.
you can sit in the bar with a phone in your hand.
you can post snaps of all bikini babes you see here with your phone.
you can use you phone in bed, but your woman might toss the phone over the balcony into the pool if you do.
walking the streets you be using your phone for google maps.

two minutes of your holiday time to setup strategies is all you really need ;)

Yes I could - but I do not use a smartphone in holiday - because it should be holiday :)
And:
-) I never use google maps
-) I never use a smartphone in bed, there I have better things to do
-) I never use a smartphone on beach, because I go swimming or read a good book
-) ...
A smartphone is good for work things, like checking Emails, etc.
But I feel much better when not using it when I'm free.
It is just a time thief to me.

But that's my way of live, you do not have to do or think  so - but please have the respect that some people do.

If people can create setups for future races then there will be even fewer people attending races. If you're going away for a week or two, you can easily find a computer/internet connection if you try to. Most people will find themselves on the internet one way or another, in a hotel lounge or whatever.
Unless you're going into the amazon jungle or some other just as remote place then this shouldnt be a problem.
Finally if you are going on some mad ass adventure then why would you be bothered about iGP? Or Facebook? Or other things online? If these are still things you cant go without when on holiday then maybe you should reconsider going on holiday in the first place!

Do not agree. I think that would keep people alive for iGPM that do not want to be online all the time. For whatever reason.
Some people lost the fun on playing iGPM when came back after 5 (or more) days an see that cars did not compete, because of suspension failure.

But if that fear is real, there are many ways to get around it.
i.e. I know a German soccer manager, where you can buy a 3 week training option, what enables you to go to holiday without loosing to much reputation in the game.
Because you have to pay for it, there is no danger that people use it all the time...
There is allways a solution, if you want one.

I changed to a weekly league, because iGPM took to much from my time, but I also know managers who did quit, because of the always ON enforcement.
I also agree to March - I hate the idea of playing iGPM when I'm on holiday.

No need to travel that far, I can't get 3g at home and I live within 10 miles of a major city in the UK.

I like the idea, I was on holiday recently camping in the uk for a fortnight and couldn't do my setups as there wasn't a strong enough signal for my dongle to connect reliably .

Maybe restrict it to 3 races per season with more available for reward points (like extra engines) to discourage overuse

I go throught the same thing, here in Canada camping is a big thing during the short summer. I like the idea of a 2-3 race limit, with the option to get 5 for say 200 reward points.

I made a post about a subscription package ages ago and one of the many ways the subscription should work is to make things easier in the day to day running of your team..

So Free 2 Play get 3 days training / setup plans and the subscrption members get a full 7 days.. (That way, they want to keep the subscription to make life easier.)

I would agree on this as well.  A lot of times where I travel both internet and cell service are limited, as in I have to drive a few miles to get either to work and that isn't always possible.

Pre-preparing is still a disadvantage, you would be doing setups based on a weather forecast which means you may end up testing in the wrong conditions (wet vs dry), you are hoping the temp is right when deciding on tire strategy, etc.

What sucks the most to me when travelling is losing the car development and that I am not sure how to address.

A way around doing early setups could be to have the preparation weather fixed so that it is the same for everyone no matter when they do it & only the race has variable weather.
You would still be disadvantaged when it comes to the race but less so.

If they are going to add pre-preparation they will likely add pre-training & pre-design too that why it will keep everything synchronized.
