I think with the new update, we need do decrease the tyre wear by a lot you can’t have tyre wear of for example 12% on SS and they only last until you have 35% left. You can use them 6 laps in a 55 lap race that’s not realistic and then have Medium and Hards have a tyre wear of 5% which means you can use them for 15 laps. And 4 stop was and never will be a good strategy. I appreciate the new update but I think it needs to be balanced out with less tyre wear.

4 stopping has been a winning strategy on some tracks at 100% for a long time before this update.

This is very realistic, means the Supersofts are not an idea tyre for the circuit.

Supersofts in general will rarely (outside Monaco) see usage past 12laps at most.

Also 5% tyre wear tyres would take 18 laps to reach 35%

I full agree with the post! Now tyres last very few laps and we need 5 stops in a 75% race I think it's too much. I think the previous system was good if they would have increased the tyre wear % of each compound

I had 5 stops in the Mexico race with the new tire update and won. In fact the top four finishers did 5 stops. Putting the car on low push to save tire wear caused both cars on softs and mediums to have the tires go in the blue range. The only way to keep them in the middle range was to go to very high push

That's what I said in the dedicated thread. There is only one way to perform your stint.

have you guys tried to improve tyre economy?
If not, give it a go and you'll see major improvements

It maybe takes longer for H and M to get to 35%, but they are starting to get cold to the point of no return much earlier no matter how you push. In Usa for example Softs, Mediums and Hards all had the same operating window same goes for Singapore. They were all useless after lap 12 maybe 13 tops. We have a lot of races to go, but at this point your standart strategy in 75% race is 3 stop Softs or 3 stop Mediums and sometimes 2 stop with Mediums work. I'd like it to be more realistic tbh. And Supersofts are just useless esspesially with no refueling

Last night we raced Bahrain at 75% no refuelling, 2 tyre rule.  Most were on a variety of combos of M & S.  the winner went M-H-H so they can be used at the right track and temp conditions

To me, this update has nothing changed. The only thing changed is the Tyre type that I use during the race. We're I used SS and S before the update, I use now S and M tyres. My strategie is globally the same...
