How do people buy/sell drivers on the marketplace forum, I tried to buy a short-listed driver but it was locked, then I got the manager to put the driver into the auction market but it never gave me the option to bid on him.

Hello,
The reason there is a lock on some shortlisted staff is to stop managers being able to use scripts to bid on any staff who are available. When this was possible, some managers would instantly bid on all of the high level drivers and staff and have huge numbers of reserves.
In terms of buying through transfers, there are a few reasons you may not have been able to buy a driver.
• Manager Level - In order to bid on a driver or staff member, you're manager level must be greater than or equal to the level of the staff.
• Random auction system - Another reason the driver may not have appeared on the auction system is that after a driver is sold at auction, they randomly appear at auctions within the 3 hour window. If the driver is not at auction when you go onto their contract page, you will have to wait patiently until they are. Usually this is only a few seconds, but can sometimes take a couple of minutes.
