So....wait. I'm confused. Does driver weight currently affect speed? I know there's rumors of it being implemented soon, but as of now, does it make a difference? Sorry, I know there's other threads like this, but they're from a long time ago and not sure if they were accurate.

Hello,

Currently, driver weight is turned off, meaning it has no impact on driver speed. 
That said, it is still recommend that you train weight so that if/when is it reactivated you have minimal weight drivers immediately. 
Higher level drivers will train slower meaning it takes longer to drop to minimum weight, thus making training weight ASAP most effective.

As far as I know, the developers have not mentioned a date for when weight will be reactivated.
