Tyres for each track?

I have heard about how 2 tyre manufacturers are best for each certain circuit (sorry if you were trying to keep it a secret :( ) but I do not know which is best for each. I would test it myself, but not being in elite yet and being generally new to the game everything would fluctuate massively anyway. Also, how do the track heats affect what manufacturer is best?



Yes I know some of this is down to personal preference, but I just want a general hint at the superior to help me win the pro title this time. 



And if you read the title asking which COMPOUND is best for each circuit, I am not asking but you could say if you want :)

No clue which tyre manufacturer is best for which track, I always stick with one supplier realy.

For tyres, Donelots is the overall best as far as I'm concerned. Has a grip factor of 8 compared to the 9 of Goodweek, Bridgerock and Michigan but does have the better resilience and operating range.

Not sure which one would be my 2nd choice but going with the numbers, I think Goodweek based on the similar resilience as the Donelots. They just last longer and since you can manage the tyre temperature pretty ok on most tracks, the operation range is less important from my perspective. Bridgerock does seem to have the most costumers though when you exclude Komehome but then again, those where the tyres to go with before the new tyre compounds were introduced.

I don't really keep track of what my competitors do with suppliers, but some teams seem to have better races at certain tracks than they normally do. Would be something to keep track of if suppliers happen to change again though. :D

Tjerk's advice is on point.

In my opinion, it's not how track heats affect which tyre supplier is best, but do you understand how the various brands of tyres work in different temperatures, speeds, track surfaces? Once you know, then you will be a force to be reckoned with.

Are you sure that wasn't fuel you heard about for each track has 2 fuels that give lowest amount per lap.

Tyres I think there is something not right in them when you compare...

Brigderock Vs Komehome
9 Vs 4 Grip. Komehome are only tenth a second slower per lap.
3 Vs 5 Resilience. Bridgerock last just 1 lap less than Komehome.
3 Vs 7 Operating range. Both suppliers over heat SS within first 3 laps.

I think you shouldn't see more grip as being better per se. Ofcourse having more grip is good but likely Bridgerock just has a softer compound. A softer coumpound however tends to wears out more and will overheat faster and that seems to be the case if you look at the numbers for Bridgerock.

The higher grip probably just compensates for that making sure it will also have a nice amount of grip even when the tyres get worn. At least that is how I see it.

As for overheating, Komehome might just be able to deal with overheating a bit better but as it lacks grip, it's probably compensated again.

But that is also how the new suppliers were introduced. There isn't just one set of suppliers that works, it can be several combinations that work well together. Many just went for the option they saw winning a lot during the first races and went along to prevent being left behind. Including me, I never changed since then. :D

way I always looked at it was more grip equals less downforce lol

was going to say all tyres add up to the same but then a counted the numbers. Donelots & Komehome add up to 16 & the rest add up to 15 :|

all engines not counting weight add up to 37

all fuels add up to 12 apart from subtotal it's 13 :D

More grip less downforce? whaaaaaaaaaa.......................

I guess you could see it as getting away with less downforce if you have more grip. Just think the drivers don't see it as such at the moment.
