I was looking at different profiles of L20 managers. The drivers, almost always maxed out, have high wages. Since the most money you can get per race from sponsors is 1.5m, how do you have enough money to pay all high level staff? I am a college student so I have no money to spend on the game

Sponsor income increases with manager level, but also staff wages increases with manager level (if you transfer them in).  Renewing contract also increases wages

So it’s all about finding the right balance and having a 3 token sponsor

What sponsors do you have? I believe the payment might go up every time you re-sign.

I have the sponsor I get the most income (and least bonus) with as well as a 3 token primary sponsor. Every race I get 2.5 million plus 1 million at signing. I swear it must have gone up.

I have to re-sign my sponsors tomorrow after the race, and I’ll get back to see if they increase.

Your question is kind of irrelevant because like Antonio says, if you want to remain competitive, as your income increases with level so does your expenditure.

Each time you level up you will need to spend money upgrading your facilities and changing staff to match the level of your team. Changing staff has two costs, hiring them in the first place then the higher wages that higher level staff will demand.

But as an example using identical sponsors:
L12 team receives £2.2m and 3 tokens each race with a bonus of £924k if race targets are met.
L20 team receives £3.2m and 3 tokens each race with a bonus of £1.28M if race targets are met.

The benefit of higher level teams is not so much the increased income, it is more about the reduced expenditure. At higher levels you level up much more infrequently so do not need to upgrade facilities or renew staff so often.

It also doesn’t matter so much at the movement since you are in a rookie where virtually everyone is inactive (i.e. they joined the game got bored quickly and stopped playing) so you can win without doing much.  However, once to get promoted or join a more competitive league there a lot of things you are not doing which you will need to do otherwise you will struggle to complete.  Unfortunately these things will cost you in game money or tokens.

Read the guide on the attached link and try to do what it suggests.  You will need to replace your drivers (and staff) before you get promoted to Pro and start training them
