I just got a new driver today from my test track. He is 17, and has 15 talent, but I only got through one round of training and some of his stats are low; I managed to get his stamina up to 14 already, but he is heavy (81 Kg) and some of his skills are still red for me. It shows as 3 stars.

My current driver is 24, and only 8 talent. However, he is better trained (all stats at least 14-15), and much lighter (21 kg lighter). He is 4 and a half stars currently for me.

I know talent is important but my new driver is heavy, and I already have a ballast; I’m in a fight for promotion and it is getting close. I want to know what you guys think. Should I deploy him now or spend a few races improving his stats?

Currently the driver's weight has been disabled so has no influence on lap time. In future the Devs are planning to replace weight with BMI so don't get too hung up on driver weight at the moment.

Personally, I would retain the higher talent driver because talent is the one driver attribute that will never increase. The remaining attributes can all be trained with the exception of Experience which will increase when the driver competes in races.

Thanks. Didn’t know about the weight. I’ll test out my new driver.
